Tuesday, January 24 Our team had a good practice on Monday where we worked on defensively getting to the basket and following up our shots. The practice paid off because on Tuesday we played Gateway’s white team and had an awesome game beating them 38-22. We have our regional tournament on Sunday to try and qualify for state!
Thursday, January 19 On Thursday we went to D99 for their pack the place and lost 35-24, it was a hard fought defeat. Next week we have a practice on Monday and a game on Thursday before our regional tournament on Sunday the 29th at West Chicago. Tuesday, January 17 The Transition basketball team played SEASPAR’s gray team on Tuesday and won 31-15
Wednesday, January 11 The Transition Team played the Proviso boys even through the 1st half, but the 3rd and 4th quarters Proviso ran away with the game. Transition lost 39-19 against Proviso. On Thursday we cheered and supported the varsity wrestling team as they defeated Leyden.
Tuesday, December 20 The Transition team came out dominant against WSSRA’s blue team on Tuesday night. We were off to a 16-0 lead. We worked on passing the ball more, allowing other shooters to shoot, and being respectful opponents. We won the game 29-26. We will take a few weeks off over break and come back 1/10/16 at home against the Proviso Diva Dolls at 6:30 in the Field House.
Thursday, December 8 On Thursday the Black Team went to Riverside Brookfield high school and got our 3rd win. The team was able to make sure that everyone got an abundance of playing time. We also practiced our passing and made sure that the players whom typically don't get the ball were able to shoot and get some baskets.
Tuesday, December 6 On Tuesday we played the Gateway Gators Blue team and won 40-24. We practiced sharing the ball and being respectful athletes.
Monday, December 5 The Gold Team beat DGS 26 to 19. Jon Hlavacek was our leading scorer. It was a solid defensive effort by everyone.!
On Monday the Black team played against the D99 Mustangs of Downers Grove South/North. The team played well despite being outmatched in size. They worked together and challenged themselves to play the best defense that they could. In the end we lost but we were happy that we stuck together as a team
The Transition Team squeaked out a winner against Downers Grove Hoops level 2 team on Monday winning 32-27.
Wednesday, November 30
The Transition team had a hard-fought loss to the Helping Hand Huskies on Wednesday night, losing 22-18. We hope to get back on track next week against the Gateway Blue Gators and the D99 Hoops!
Monday, November 21 The Alumni team had a nail bitter Tuesday night versus the Proviso Diva Dolls. The offense worked hard to come back from behind in the second half to win the game 28-26. It was a hard fought game!
Week of November 14
This week the Alumni team had our first game against LT. While the game was tied 12-12 at the half, our team pulled ahead 34-25. It was a great team effort with great passing and sharing of the ball.
