Chloe: Chloe dominated at state this weekend! She swept through her first 4 rounds, playing confidently and competitively. Her only loss was in the semis to the top seed, but she showed true grit and perseverance in her game play, making her opponent earn every point. She finished her state run winning her 3rd place match in straight sets. Chloe had an amazing season ending it with a 27-3 record, and as an All Conference and All State athlete.
Arya/Hailey: Arya and Hailey had an amazing run at state this year! This non-seeded doubles team played a tough first round to go to a 3rd set super, then to lose to a top seeded team from North Shore Country Day. But, this team did NOT give up! In their second round of the consolation draw, they had lost the first set 3-6 and were down 2-5 in their match to make an EPIC comeback to win the 2nd sets 7-5 to then just absolutely destroy their opponent 10-2 in the 3rd set super. This started the run… they then won 3 more rounds in the back draw in close matches where they play confidently and competitively. They lost to another seeded team in the consolation quarter finals. They ended their regular season with a 9-10 record, went 5-2 at State, to end their season together with a 14-12 Overall record. Both were All Conference and All State 2nd Team finishing in the top 16.

Our singles players had great athleticism and our doubles teams played smart doubles. We were the loudest and most supportive team of all the teams and I was proud of how much we played overall and how much support we showed each other.
