Varsity The varsity Lady Hornets ended their 19/20 season with a loss to Plano with a score of 39-43 in the regional game. They were led by Crysta Davis with 6 points and Janae Washington with 10 points.

Varsity The Varsity girls lost in the crossover game to OPRF 16-50. Ellie Urbanski has 7 points.
Sophomore The Sophomore girls lost their final game of the season to OPRF 22-49. Molly Savage has 6 points.

Week of February 3rd
Varsity The Lady Hornets celebrated Senior Night with their second win of the season defeating Leyden 43-41. Crysta Davis, Erin Adams and Janae Washington were all big contributors to the win. They continued play on Friday abasing DGS and found hard, but came up short 51-56. Erin Adams has 16 points, Janae Washington had 11 points and Mary Lavarotto had 10 points.
Sophomore The sophomore team lost to Leyden 19-33. Jenny Pantoni had 8 points. They lost in OT to DGS 30-31. Molly Savage had 8 points.
Freshman In the final week of the regular season the girls played two tough teams and suffering tough losses to both. The first game brought Leyden to visit a flu-ridden Young Lady Hornets team. The girls fought with all their might to keep up but ultimately lost 36-9. The girls had the lead but fatigue and illness took over. Makena Camden led the charge and did all she could to keep the girls moral high the entire game.
In the final game of the regular season the Young Lady Hornets visited first place Downers Grove South in a heartbreaking 38-8 loss. Raneem Kholoki hit her first three pointer of the season to start the game but injury and fatigue still kept the girls from being able to stay in the game for long. While the season was unlucky with injuries and illness, the girls should celebrate the leadership and positivity they displayed the entire season. Good things are going to come for this group in the coming years!
Week of January 27th
Varsity The Lady Hornets lost a conference game on the road to Morton 44-53. Erin Adams has 15 points.
Sophomore The Sophomore girls beat Morton with a score of 32-25. Molly Savage has 13 points to lead the way. Freshman On Friday, January 31st the girls visited Morton West. The girls lost 41-19 but should be proud of the fight they gave with an ill stricken team. Makena Camden and Ella Hardman provided a strong one-two punch in the first half of the game and Sedra Alkhudari and Raneem Kholoki fought the second half of the game to keep the girls in the battle.
Week of January 20th
Varsity The Varsity hornets played a non conference game against Richards high school and lost 24-45. Crysta Davis has 6 points.
Sophomore The Sophomore girls beat Richards 22-19. Natalia Vasilevski had 6 points and Jenny Pantoni had 8 points.
Freshman On Thursday, January 23rd the girls were visited by Richards. This was a close game until the very end with Richards eventually pulling away with a 31-19 win. Nicole Kaleta made her return this week providing a much needed spark against the opposing team. Her and Joy Nwonye led the fight on the boards and blocking a combined 9 shots.
Week of January 13th
Varsity The lady hornets lost to Willowbrook 28-35. They traveled to Dekalb for a MLk tournament. The hornets lost to Maine South 17-62. Erin Adams had 5 points. They lost their second game to Dekalb 41-51. Janae Washington led the way with 20 points. The girls played on MLK day and lost both outings. Johnsburg beat them 28-43 and Plainfield East won 20-54.
Sophomore The Sophomore team lost to Willowbrook 22- 31. Jenny Pantoni had 8 points.
Freshman This week brought Willowbrook to the home of the Young Lady Hornets. While the girls started off strong the Willowbrook team proved too much for this injured team in the end giving the girls a 39-16 loss. Elysa Tobar and Ella Hardman gave big minutes in a great effort to keep the Hornets in the game both defensively and offensively. The team should be proud they never gave up until the very end.
Week of January 6th
Varsity The Varsity team lost to Leyden 20-33. Crysta Davis led the way with 6 points. They lost again to Proviso East 21-68.
Sophomore The sophomore team beat Leyden 35-30. Natalia Vasilevski led with 11 points. They lost a tough battle to Proviso East 45-47.
Freshman In the first week back after school started the Young Lady Hornets played back to back games. First the girls traveled to West Leyden. As injuries and absences were present the girls fought their hardest while being short-handed with a final result of 40-12. Makena Camden played a full 32 minutes in this non-stop fight while maintaining leadership even in the face or the set-backs faced by the team.
The second game welcomed Proviso East the home of the Young Lady Hornets. Still plagued by injuries and absences the girls put up a tough fight against a strong Proviso team but in the end faced a tough loss 44-18. Ella Harding stepped in as the leading scorer putting up 12 points and 5 blocks to keep the fight going. The Young Lady Hornets still have fight in them and the next few games should get more exciting as they hope to be fully recovered.
Week of December 30th
Varsity The Varsity Lady Hornets opened up the new year with conference play losing to Addison Trail 21-37. Ellie Urbanski and Janae Washington both had 7 points. Sophomore The sophomore team lost 17-23. Jenny Pantoni had 6 points and Maddie Gamboa had 4 points.
Freshman In the returning week from winter break the Young Lady Hornets visited Addison Trails in a 42-27 loss. This loss was a tough one as the girls were getting back in to the groove as a team. Joy Nwonye and Izabella Cison led the offensive charge with a combined 20 points. While this game resulted in a loss it was a closer game than the first one and the girls showed their growth as a unit.
Week of December 23rd
Varsity The varsity team started their Christmas tournament at LWE. They lost their first game 20-48 to Lincoln Way Central. Jenny Pantoni has 7 points and Ellie Urbanski had 5 points. They also lost their second game to Providence Catholic 18-70. Brooklyn King has 8 points while Janae Washington chipped in 5 points. Play continued after Christmas with the team losing to Bloom 30-50. Janae Washington led the way with 15 points while Ellie Urbanski contributed 9. The girls fought hard against Andrew High School and earned their first win of the season with a score of 36-27. Janae Washington has 16 points and Brooklyn King had 7.
Freshman In the fifth week the girls filled in a spot in the Montini Junior Varsity Tournament. Even though they were the youngest group in the tournament they put up a good fight against four of the top programs in the state.
The first game brought them against host school Montini. The girls did all they could against this powerhouse team but lost 42-6. The next game pitted the girls against Oak Park River Forest where they lost 49-10. It was in this game that Nicole Kaleta, Alexis Darling and Julia Andrzejczak all made their first threes of the season bringing their spirits up for the tournament.
On the second day of the tournament, the girls played Nazareth in 51-18 loss. This was by far the best game they played. While the score may not have reflected it, the Young Lady Hornets were able to hold the opposing team to only 12 points in the second half.
Finally, on the last day of the tournament brought the girls against Evanston Township which resulted in a 48-13 loss. This was by far the toughest game they played. The Young Lady Hornets put up such a good fight that the Wildkits families came over to praise their effort. The praise was for Makena Camden, Nicole Kaleta, Alexis Darling, Julia Andrzejczak, Elysa Tobar, Ella Harding, Izabella Cison, and Jamilla Esmilla as these eight girls fought their hardest against Junior Varsity players and never gave up. A big round of applause for these young ladies as they took on the challenge without a drop of hesitation.
Week of December 16th
Varsity The varsity Lady hornets lost to willowbrook 10-69. Janae Washington had 4 points. They continued play on Friday losing to Downers Grove South 16-48.
Sophomore The sophomore team lost a close one to Willowbrook 23-28. They got a win over DHS 17-12. Maddie Gamboa had 7 points. Freshman In the fourth and week of the season, the girls suffered two losses. The first game brought the Young Lady Hornets to Willowbrook High School. The girls were tied most of the game but could not hold on at the end. The back and forth scoring was led on our side by Makena Camden and Joy Nwonye who also had 15 rebounds. In the second game, the Hornets hosted Downers Grove South where again the girls started off strong but could not keep up with the numbers of the other team. Nicole Kaleta and Elysa Tobar were the offensive boost while Ella Hardman and Izabella Cison were the cornerstones to the defense. Even though the girls suffered numerous losses the second half of the season looks extremely promising as great things are still to come from this Young Lady Hornet group.
Week of December 9th
Varsity The Varsity Lady Hornets suffered 3 losses this week. They lost to Proviso East, Morton and Minooka. Mary Lavorata led the way against East with 5 points while Jenny Pantoni added 4 points. Janae Washington scores 12 points against Morton and 17 points against Minooka. The girls play Willowbrook on Tuesday.
Sophomore The Sophomore Lady hornets played 3 games this week, winning one of them. Jenny Pantoni led the way against East with 7 points while Jillian Mardquardt chipped in 6 points in the loss. The Hornets beat Morton with Brooklyn King scoring 18 points and Natalia Vasilevski scoring 12. In a loss against Minooka, Brooklyn King scored 5 points while Molly Savage added 4 points.
Freshman The girls fought with all their might vs. Proviso East but again were faced with a 45-11 loss. The next game of the week the girls faced Morton East at home. This game gave the girls their best look of the season even though they lost 25-13. They fought with everything they could but the numbers of Morton proved to be too much against an injured Lady Hornet team. Finally, the girls went to Minooka to end their week in the toughest loss of the season. The Lady Hornets gave all they could but it was not enough with a loss of 30-1. While each of the games resulted in a loss, Joy Nwoyne, Makena Camden, Nicole Kaleta, Sedra Alkhudari, Elysa Tobar, Julia Andrzejczak, Izabella Cison, Ella Hardman, Peyton Hough, Jamilla Esmilla, and Raneem Kholoki gave their best efforts in fighting and never giving up, no matter how grim the situations looked.
Week of December 2nd
Varsity The varsity Lady Hornets suffered their first conference game to Addison Trail 25-39. Janae Washington led the way with 10 points. They’ll continue conference play this week with games against Proviso East and Morton.
Sophomore The Sophomore girls basketball team beat Addison Trail in overtime 36-33. Natalia Vasilevski led the way with 9 points while Jillian Marquardt and Jenny Pantoni chipped in 7 a piece.
Freshman The Freshman lost to vs. Addison Trail on Saturday. The girls started the game off by fighting strong but eventually Addison Trails ran off with the game resulting in a 35-9 loss. The next game will be their first away game at Proviso East.
Week of November 25th
Varsity The Lady hornets continued action in the Thanksgiving tournament losing to Nequa Valley 36-45. They finished the tournament on Saturday with a loss to Plainfield South 41-61. Erin Adams led the way with 16 while Ellie Urbanski chipped in 6 points and Janae Washington added 7 points. They open up conference play with Addison Trail on Saturday, December 7th at home
Sophomore The Sophomore team suffered their first loss of the season to Chicago Jones Prep 13-43. They came back on Saturday with a great team win over Sandburg 38-25. They earned third place in the Thanksgiving tournament.
Freshman The second week of the season continued in the Thanksgiving Tournament where the Hinsdale South Hornets suffered to big losses. The first loss of the week came to Chicago Christian Prep. The girls started off strong but with the holiday break lost steam quickly. They were led by a great effort from Joy Nwonye and Elysa Tobar who fought from start to finish. In the second loss of the week the young Lady Hornets went against rival Hinsdale Central. The girls were led by another solid start to finish effort from Elysa Tobar and Ella Hardman. With the conclusion of the tournament the girls will have a great season ahead of them.
Week of November 18th
Varsity The varsity lady hornets opened up their season with a loss to St. Edward 51-57. They continued play in the tournament with a loss to Timothy Christian 43-56.
Sophomore The Sophomore Lady Hornet basketball team opened up their season with a big win over St. Edwards winning 41-10. They then beat Stagg in overtime 47-46.
Freshman In our first game of the season, the Freshman faced off against Lyons Township. While it was a great game for both teams the young Lady Hornets were able to pull off a big win. Nicole Kaleta and Makena Camden led the fight with with a combined point total of 27 of the 33 points. In the second game against Stagg the girls put up a great fought but ended up losing. Even though the young Lady Hornets lost, a great defensive effort was given by Sedra Alkhudari who had 3 steals and 6 rebounds. The girls started off the year with a split but great things look to come this season!
