Friday, May 5th @ McCarhty Invite The Boys Track and Field team completed their last meet prior to the West Suburban Conference meet on Friday in Hinsdale at the McCarthy Invite.

Friday, April 28th - Mike Yavorski Invitational The Hornets finally had a home meet running the Mike Yavorski Invitational on April 28th. Getting the meet up and running was our 4x800 relay team consisting of Aaron Koehler, Owen Atkinson, Dziugas Meillulis, and Kayden Miller winning their race with a time of 8:29.53. The Hornets were well represented in the relays this night as the sophomore sprint medley which was run by Amari Alexander, Mikey Jefferson, DeAndre Thomas, and Dziugas Meiliulis won their race to go along with the Freshman sprint medley being won by Nathan Ngoma, Brent Tolentino, Trenton Rogers, and Wojtek Gilarski. In addition our 4x160 relay ran a PR and took 2nd place and they were Amari Alexander, Mikey Jefferson, DeAndre Thomas, and Zayd Truttling.
Individually, strong performances were from the following.... 100- Amari Alexander 3rd place (Big PR) 100- Zayd Truttling 6th place Discus- Frederick Finnegan 4th place Triple Jump- Karam Tajeddin 4th place 200- Zayd Truttling 4th place 400- Zayn Arroyo 6th place 800-Kayden Miller 6th place 1600- Aaron Koehler 5th place 110 Hurdles Erik Larson 1st place (Big PR) 300 Hurdles Erik Larson 3rd place 300 Hurdles Karam Tajeddin 4th place The Boys Track team now moves on to the very competitive McCarthy Invitational next weekend.
Saturday, April 22nd @ Proviso East Invite April 22nd our Hornets travelled to Maywood to compete in the Tim Simon ABC meet. Overall the Hornets finished in 2nd place and were very well balanced in all 3 classes.

In addition, the other classes competed very strong to make this meet a very special one that was run in rain, snow, sleet, etc
Saturday, April 15th @ Downers Grove South Invite The Hornets competed April 15th in the Bud Mohns Invitational at DGS and had numerous strong performances from both our Varsity and F/S teams dealing with great competition.
On the F/S level Mikey Jefferson took 2nd place with a PR in the 100 and also had a PR in the 200 taking 5th place. DeAndre Thomas again continues to excel in the sprints taking a 2nd in the 200 on the Varsity level as a sophomore . In the 110 Hurdles Karam Tajeddin ran another PR finishing 5th overall and received a 7th place finish in the 300 hurdles. Overall, the Hornets continue to improve at the right time of the season and look forward to their next meet at Proviso East ABC meet.
Tuesday, April 11th @ Lyons Township Tri Meet The Hornets competed in a non scoring Triangular 4/11 with Lt and DGN. The Hornets competed well with strong performances from Kayden Miller, Aaron Koehler, and Zain Arroyo in the 4x400 and Erik Larson in the 200 meter dash. Many athletes in this meet tried different events to boost their training. Deandre Thomas and Amari Alexander running the 400 with solid mid 50's times.
Next up for the Hornets is the Bud Mohns Invitational meet this Sat at Downers Grove South.
Friday, March 17th @ WSC Indoor Conference Meet On Friday, March 17th, our boys' track team competed well, finishing 3rd at the Varsity level and 4th at the Fresh/Soph level.
At the Fresh/Soph level, DeAndre Thomas took 2nd in the 200 meter dash, Brent Tolentino took 3rd in the 55 dash, Ethan Frankel was 3rd in the 600, Wojtek Gilarski and Dziugas Meiliulis were 3-4 in the 1600, Andrew Petersen was 3rd in the 3200, and Grant Diedrich was 2nd in the shot put. In the relays, the 4X800 relay of Colton Lin, Ethan Frankel, Dziugas Meiliulis, and Wojtek Gilarski finished 2nd, and the 4X160 relay of DeAndre Thomas, Mikey Jefferson, Brent Tolentino, and Apollo Cobb were champions!
At the Varsity level, top-2 All Conference performances were: 2nd place--Amari Alexander in the 55 meter dash, Erik Larson in the low hurdles, Karam Tajeddin in the triple jump, and the 4X800 meter relay team of Aaron Koehler, Owen Atkinson, Adam Fournier, and Kayden Miller, while champions included Zayd Truttling in the 55 meter dash, Amari Alexander in the 200 meter dash, and Erik Larson in the high hurdles. Congrats to all!
Thursday, March 9th @ Wheaton Warrenville South The team ran at Wheaton-Warrenville South High School, along with Glenbard West, Plainfield Central, and South Elgin. Highlights included a win in the fresh/soph 55 meter dash from Brent Tolentino, who also placed 3rd in his 1st high jump competition. Nathan Ngoma placed 3rd in the f/s 55 meters and 4th in the f/s high hurdles, while Dzigas Meiliulis and Wojtek Gilarski were 2nd and 3rd in the f/s 1600, each running a time of 4:58. Grant Diedrich won the f/s shot put, with Alex Galvez 3rd, and, at the varsity level, Kayden Miller and Aaron Koehler were 5th and 6th in the 1600 meter run.
Monday, March 6th @ Mustang Relays, North Central College The 4X800 relay team of Aaron Koehler, Dziugas Meiliulis, Adam Fournier, and Kayden Miller all ran all time personal bests in the 800 to run a time of 8:44, our fastest since 2019. Kayden anchored with a split of 2:05. The 4X200 team of Amari Alexander, Zayd Truttling, Mikey Jefferson, and Alex Day ran a time of 1:38 to place 23rd out of 35 teams in the prestigious and competitive meet.
Saturday, February 18th @ Greg Foster Invitational at Proviso West Frosh/Soph placed 11th out of 18 teams, with DeAndre Thomas placing 3rd in the 55 meter dash and 4th in the 200 meter dash, and Dziugas Meiliulis placing 5th in the 3200 meter run and 6th in the 1600 meter run.
The 4X200 meter relay of Amari Alexander, Erik Larson, Zayd Truttling, and Noah Sadowski led the varsity with a 5th place finish in the 4X200 meter relay, while Erik Larson finished with a 6th place finish in the 60m meter hurdles. Noah Sadowski (55 meters), Kayden Miller (600 meters), Karam Tajeddin (60 meter hurdles), and the 4X800 meter relay of Aaron Koehler, Owen Atkinson, Ethan Frankel, and Kayden Miller (9th) all placed in the top 10.
Wednesday, February 15 @ Glenbard East Tri Glenbard East and Glenbard South: 1st place finishers for the Hornets were DeAndre Thomas in the f/s 55 meter dash and the 4X400 meter relay team of Zayd Truttling, Aaron Koehler, Kayden Miller, and Noah Sadowski. 2nd place finishers were Amari Alexander and Noah Sadowski (tie) in the 55 meters, freshman Wojtek Gilarski overall in the 1600 meters, and Erik Larson in the 55 meter hurdles, while the throwers were led by Alex Galvez's 3rd place finish in the f/s shot put.
Thursday, February 9th @ Addison Trail Quad Addison Trail, Fremd, and Oswego: The team competed well, with Amari Alexander and Noah Sadowski running blazing times in the 55 meter dash, Erik Larson and Karam Tajeddin going 1-2 in both hurdles races, the 4X160 relay of Zayd Truttling, DeAndre Thomas, Alex Day, and Noah Sadowski finishing 1st, Noah Sadowksi winning the 400 meters, Zayd Truttling and DeAndre Thomas running great times in the 200 meters, and the 4X800 meter relay team of Aaron Koehler, Owen Atkinson, Adam Fournier, and Kayden Miller placing 2nd overall.
