Freshman Boys freshman soccer team played a game at Nazareth Academy on Monday. Boys started playing a little nervous and that gave Nazareth the control of the game but they couldn’t make anything happen out of that. Once we got over our nerves we started attacking and threatening to score. We started to control the game and in 15th minute Kareem Chahin and Deividas (David) Karpusenka played a beautiful one-two combination down on left side which left Kareem all alone and dribbling towards Nazareth goal. Once Kareem got to goal line he crossed a nice ball intended for Lukas Isberg but defender stepped in front of Lukas and scored an own goal to give hornets 🐝 early lead in the game. Few minutes later Guatavo Botero played a give and go with David which left Gus with plenty of room in midfield and he played a great thru ball to Lukas. Lukas had 30yards to sprint with the ball towards Nazareth goal but two Nazareth defenders eventually caught up with him and blocked his shot at goal. With 13:12 left in the first half referee stopped the game due to the weather. 20 minutes later game was officially canceled.
