Varsity - IHSA Sectional The Lemont sectional was held at Wedgewood golf course on Monday 10/7. It was a beautiful day for golf and the four Hornets performed very well. The sectional is the toughest in 2A and the score to qualify for state was 74 or lower. Ryan Salverredy and Devin Cabello shot 83, Dominick Rallo shot 85 and Devin Casey shot 93.
Week of September 30th
Varsity - IHSA Regional On Wednesday, 10/2 the regional team of Dominick Rallo, Sam Rallo, Ryan Salvereddy, Rohan Tvelil, Devin Casey and Devin Cabello traveled to Frankfurt, Illinois to compete in the Lemont 2A IHSA regional. The team was 4 strokes away from qualifying everyone to sectionals, but had four individuals qualify. Ryan Salverrdey and Devin Cabello shot 82, Devin Casey shot 83 and for the 2nd year in a row Dominick Rallo shot 88 and was in a playoff for the last spot. Dominick beat his opponent on the 1st playoff hole and made it four Hornets qualifying for sectionals.
Week of September 23rd
Varsity On Tuesday 9/24, the team traveled to Prairie Bluff golf course for the WSC gold conference tournament. It was a rainy day and the course became unplayable after 10 holes and was canceled. JV The last week of JV golf culminated with the Gold conference tournament at Bloomingdale golf club on Tuesday, where each school had six golfers compete in an 18 hole stroke play tournament. Under tough rainy conditions, the Hornets shot their best 18-hole team round of the year by shooting a combined four man score of 366, which led to a 3rd place in conference. The following six players golfed at conference (scores included): Jashan Tvelil (82), Armaan (82), Devin Shah (97), Reilly Meeker (100), Colton Campbell (101), and Joey Sisto (103). Brothers Jashan and Armann Tvelil ended up medaling for individual scores with a 4th and 8th place finish respectively. This was a great ending to a JV golf season where the team displayed all of their hard work over a short period of time. Congratulations to the TEAM, and we look forward to seeing this talented group compete as varsity golfers in the near future!
Week of September 16th
Varsity The boys Varsity golf team had their busiest week of the year. It started on Monday, 9/16 at Flagg Creek golf club, vs. RB high school. The boys played well on the beautiful 9 hope course, but came up a little short in the end and lost by 7 strokes. Medalist was Deven Cabello with a 39, other scores that counted were Dominick Rallo, Ryan Salverredy and Devin Casey with 42's.
On Tuesday, 9/17 the Hornets took on the Warriors of Willowbrook high school. The team won 165-181 and were led by medalist Rohan Tvelil, the senior in his first year playing golf has made a major impact on the team. Other scores that counted were Devin Cabello, Ryan Salverredy and Dominick Rallo.
On Thursday, the team played Leyden high school at White Pines golf course. Again it was very close, but the Hornets couldn't pull out the victory and lost by 8 strokes. Medalist was Rohan Tvelil and other players that contributed were, Jerry Bauer, Kaden Alavi and Devin Casey.
On Saturday, 9/21, the Hornets traveled to Naperville to play in the Naperville Central golf invite at the beautiful Naperbrook golf club. The boys finished in 4th place and were able to beat the heat and finish strong. Medalist was Devin Cabell with an 81 and Ryan Salverredy also turned in a good score of 83. Dominick Rallo shot 88.
JV On Monday, the JV Hornet team took on Riverside Brookfield at Flagg Creek. They lost by a score of 186-212. However, a lot of the younger players were able to golf, and they were led by freshmen Eshaan Jangda (50) and Andrew O’Rourke (53). Other Hornets competing were Kavi Patel (54), Jonathan Bauer (55), Grady Nicol (56), and Nathan Bryant (66).
On Tuesday, the JV team hosted Willowbrook at Carriage Greens in conference play. They won by one stroke defeating the Warriors by a score of 196-197. The Hornets were led by sophomores Jashan Tvelil (46) and Joey Sisto (48). Other golfers competing were Colton Campbell, Devin Shah, Reilly Meeker, and Kavi Patel.
On Thursday, the Hornets traveled to White Pines to take on Leyden in conference play. The team lost a close match by a score of 186-187. The team was led by Armaan Tvelil’s score of 43, as well as Jashan Tvelil’s 45. Colton Campbell (47), Reilly Meeker (52), Joey Sisto (54), and Devin Shah (55) also competed for the Hornets.
The JV Hornet team capped off a busy week by competing in the four team 18-hole tournament at Naperbrook golf course. They placed 4th in a highly competitive field, which included Naperville Central, Wheaton North, and Providence Catholic HS. The team was led by Jashan and Armaan’s Tvelil’s scores of 91 and 99. This was a great opportunity for the JV Hornets to prepare for the conference tournament next Tuesday.
Week of September 9th
Varsity The boys varsity golf team had a very busy week. On Tuesday, 9/10 the Hornets took on the Mustangs of Morton at Fresh Meadows golf course. The team was led to victory by medalist Dominick Rallo with a 9 hole score of 40. Other scorese that counted were Ryan Salverredy, Rohan Tvelil and Same Rallo.
On Wednesday, 9/11 the team put their 3-0 conference record to the test against a very good DGS team at Carriage Greens golf course. The Hornets came up a little short and lost the match. Hinsdale South was led by medalist Sam Rallo with a good score of 43. Other scores that counted were Devin Cabello, Ryan Salvereddy and Dominick Rallo.
On Saturday, Hinsdale South participated in the Providence invite at Sanctuary golf course in New Lenox. The Hornets were led by Dominick Rallo with a score of 87, Sam Rallo 91, Braeden Koperski 91 and Devin Casey 93.
The team is improving and looking to perform well at conference and regionals
JV On Tuesday, the Hornets travel to Fresh Meadows golf course to take on Morton in conference play. The team won the match by a score of 176-304. Armann Tvelil led the JV hornets with a score of 39, and Jashah Tvelil shot 44. Others competing were Devin Shah, Reilly Meeker, Kavi Patel, and Eshaan Jangda.
On Wednesday, the JV Hornet team took on conference rival DGS at Carriage Greens. They lost by a score of 199-175. Top scorers for the Hornets were Armaan Tvelil (48) and Joey Sisto (49). Jashan Tvelil, Devin Shah, Colton Campbell, and Andrew O’Rourk also competed for the team.

JV On Tuesday the Hornet won on forfeit to Proviso East.
On Saturday, the Hornet JV team traveled to Sugar Creek to play in the Willowbrook’s 5-man scramble 18-hole tournament. The team tied for first with York HS with a score of 7-under par. Unfortunately, the two teams had to go to the scorecards for a tie-breaker, and the hornet golfers lost on the seventh handicap hole to figure out the winner. Still a tremendous showing by the hornets placing 2nd in a ten team event. The Hornets were led by Colton Campbell’s hot putting, and at one point the team went 6 under par in a five hole stretch, including an eagle! Golfers competing were Colton Campbell, Jashan Tvelil, Armaan Tvelil, Reilly Meeker, and Devin Shah. All the players contributed to a great team score!
Week of August 26th
Varsity The Varsity boys golf team started off the conference season with a win vs. Addison Trail, by a score of 171-196. Medalist for the Hornets was Braeden Koperski with a score of 41. Other scores that counted, Dominick Rallo 42, Sam Rallo 44 and Rohan Tvelil 44.
On Saturday, 8/31 the Hornets participated in the Willowbrook scramble at Sugar Creek golf course in Villa Park. The team of Dominick Rallo, Ryan Salverredy, Braeden Koperski, Devin Cabello and Devin Casey finished with a good score of -4, 60. It was a great experience and the guys had a lot of fun playing together.
JV On Thursday, the Hornets took on Addison Trail in their first conference match of the season at Salt Creek golf course. The Hornets won the match by a score of 170-180. The JV team was led by Jashan Tvelil (39), Armann Tvelil (40), and Colton Campbell (43). Others competing for the Hornets were Joey Sisto, Reilly Meeker, and Kavi Patel.
On Saturday, the Hornets were able to play in the Lockport Porters Cup tournament. The team shot a score of 285, and placed in the lower end of a very competitive field of golfers. The tournament was an 18 hole round that consisted of six holes “best ball’, six holes “scramble”, and six holes “alternate shot” in a paired format. The JV team was led by Jashan Tvelil and Colton Campbell as a twosome, shooting 92. Armaan Tvelil and Joey Sisto shot 93 together, as well as Andrew O’Rourke and Johnathan Bauer shooting 101. It was a beautiful day of weather on the course, and the six man JV team had fun playing in it!
Week of August 19th
Varsity The boys varsity golf team had a very busy week. On Tuesday 8/20, South took on their cross town rivals at Central. Hinsdale Central is one of the best teams in 3A making it a very difficult task. The Hornets held their own and played well, but in the end lost the match 154-171. Medalist for the team was Dominick Rallo, other scores that counted were Devin Cabello, Ryan Salverredy and Devin Casey.
On Thursday 8/22 the team played Lions Township in a dual match. Again, LT is one of the best 3A teams in the state. The match ended in a loss for the Hornets, but they continue to play well. Medalist was Dominick Rallo with a 41, other scores that counted were Ryan Salverredy, Devin Casey and Devin Cabello.
On Saturday 8/24 the Hornets played in the Rolling Meadows invite at Arlington Lakes golf course. The team finished 8th out of 12 teams. After getting over some nervous play on the first few holes, the boys played very well and kept their composure. Dominick Rallo was medalist with an 80, other scores that counted were Devin Casey, Ryan Salverredy and Braeden Koperski.
JV On Tuesday, the Hornets faced a tough Hinsdale Central squad at Carriage Greens. The hornets lost 154-209. Leading scorers were Colton Campbell (49), Armaan Tvelil (51), and Jashan Tvelil (52). Devin Shah, Joey Sisto, Reilly Meeker, Kavi Patel, and Johnathan Bauer also competed for the Hornets.
On Thursday, the Hornets played their first away match against Lyons Township at Flagg Creek golf course. They lost their match with a score of 146-195. The Hornets were led by Jashan Tvelil’s 41 and Armaan’s 45. A total of ten hornet golfers competed, including: Devin Shah, Kavi Patel, Joey Sisto, Reilly Meeker, Andrew O’Rourke, Jonathan Bauer, Nathan Bryant, and Grady Nicol.
On Saturday, the same ten Hornets traveled to Flagg Creek again to play in a quad team tournament against LT, York, and DGS. York won with a score of 148, LT placed 2nd with a 152, DGS placed 3rd with a 158, and HS placed 4th with a score of 192 – Their best team score of the season so far! The team was led again by brothers Jashan (40 and Armaan (45) Tvelil. Golfers Reilly Meeker (54) and Devin Shah (53) also helped the team score. The Hornets completed three matches in five days against very tough competition that will ultimately prepare them for conference play!
Week of August 12th
Varsity The boys Varsity Hornet golf team is looking forward to a great year. This year's team is led by seniors, Dominick Rallo, Devin Cabello and Ryan Salverredy. The team lost to DGN in our first 9 hole match on Thursday, 8/15. Medalist for the Hornets was junior Braeden Koperski with a 41. Other scores that counted toward the team total were Devin Cabello, Devin Casey and Dominick Rallo.
On Saturday, 8/17, the Hornets took on Oswego East high school in an 18 hole dual match. Devin Cabello was medalist with an 87. Other scores that counted were Dominick Rallo, Devin Casey and newcomer Rohan Tvelil.
JV The JV Hornet squad opened up their season Thursday with a home match against Downers Grove North at Carriage Greens. The Hornets were defeated by a score of 174-200. The team was led by brothers Armaan and Jashan Tvelil who both shot 46. Other hornets who participated were: Joey Sisto, Colton Campbell, Reilly Meeker, Devin Shah, Kavi Patel, and Andrew O’Rourke. Despite the loss, the team score was a very good start to the season.
