Varsity On Tuesday, 10/6 The Hornets participated in the Benet regional at St. Andrews golf course. The team finished 4th with a score of 342. Medalist was Billy Gneiser with a -1 under round of 71. Other scores that counted were Charlie Gneiser with a 77, Ethan Bellittini with a 96 and Jelani Wilson with a 98. Billy Gneiser took 1st place individual award and Charlie Gneiser took 3rd place, both qualifying for the sectionals.
Week of September 28th
Varsity The boys golf team is having a great end to the season. On Saturday, 10/3 the Hornets finished 2nd in the WSC gold division. The team shot a 338, medalist was Billy Gneiser with a 76, other scores that counted Charlie Gneiser 83, Jelani Wilson 89 and Ethan Bellettini 90. Billy Gneiser was the medalist and took first place in the WSC golf conference tournament. Billy and Charlie were both all conference.
Week of September 21st
Varsity Boys Varsity Golf had a good week. On Tuesday, the Hornets beat Willowbrook 157-167 to improve their conference record to 5-1. Medalist was Charlie Gneiser with a 34, other scores that counted Billy Gneiser 35, Ethan Bellettini 41 and Emmet Savage.
On Saturday the Hornets finished in 6th place at the Hinsdale Central Invite. Billy Gneiser finish in 5th place overall with a score of 76.
Frosh/Soph On Tuesday (9/22) the Hornets lost to conference rival Willowbrook at Carriage Greens in Darien by a score of 180-171. The Hornet scores were the following:, Tom Gneiser 39, Joe Pantoni 44, Brendan Savage 47, Matt Rudolph 50, Connor Wyent 54,and Lukas Krapukaitis 57.
On Saturday (9/26) the Hornets traveled to Salt Creek Golf Course and finished the season in the AT Invite finishing 2nd. This is a 2 man team; Ryder Cup Format. (Best ball, Alternate shot, and Scramble) Tommy Gneiser and Joe Pantoni had a team score of 68 which was good for third place overall. The Hornets had two man team scores of the following: Tommy Gneiser and Joe Pantoni 68 Matt Rudolph and Brendan Savage 84 Sam Johnson and Connor Wyent 91
Week of September 14th
Varsity The hornets had a very busy week, with 3 conference matches. On Monday, 9/14 we lost to HS 175-DGS 165, Billy Gneiser was medalist with a 38, Charlie Gneiser 41, Jelani Wilson 47 and Emmett Savage with a 49.
On Tuesday, 9/15 the Hornets bounced back with a great victory over the Morton Mustangs, HS 156-Morton 206. The hornets were led by medalist Billy Gneiser 32, Charlie Gneiser 37, Jelani Wilson 43 and Ethan Bellettini 44.
On Thursday, 9/16 the hornets were again victorious in a match vs. AT, HS 170-AT 212. The hornets were led by medalist Charlie Gneiser with a 39, Billy Gneiser 40, Jelani Wilson 42 and Etan Bellettini 49.
The teams conference record stands at 4-1, with one more dual match left on the schedule. Frosh/Soph On Monday the Hornets lost to conference rival Downers Grove South at Carriage Greens in Darien by a score of 177-201. The Hornet scores were the following: Brendan Savage 48, Tom Gneiser 51, Joe Pantoni 51, Sam Johnson 51, Matt Rudolph 55, Tom Remi 61, Lukas Krapukaitis 62, and Nathan Ockrim 64.
On Tuesday 9/15 the Hornets moved their conference record to 3-1 by defeating Morton at Fresh Meadows in Westchester by a score of 182 -264. The young Hornets scores were the following: Joe Pantoni 43, Brendan Savage 45, Tom Gneiser 46, Nathan Ockrim 48, Matt Rudolph 49, and Lukas Krapukaitas 51.
On Thursday (9/17) the Hornets traveled to White Pines Golf Course in Bensenville. The Hornets defeated the Leyden Eagles by a score of 195-247 and moved their conference record to 4-1 on the season. The Hornets scores were the following: Tommy Gneiser 45, Brendan Savage 48, Connor Wyent 51, Sam Johnson 51, Joe Pantoni 53, and Matt Rudolph 53.
On Saturday (9/19) the Hornets hosted the Hornet invite at Carriage Greens in Darien finishing 4th. The Hornets had a team score of 380 for the 18 hole tournament and recorded their team low of 175 on the back nine. The Hornet scores were the following: Tommy Gneiser 89 and 6th overall, Joe Pantoni 94, Brendan Savage 99, Matt Rudolph 101, Lukas Krapukaitas 103, and Nathan Ockrim 109.

Varsity The Varsity Hornets improved their record to 2-0 in conference with a forfeit victory over Proviso East. The matched was played at Ziegfeld Troy, par 27. The young Hornets scores were the following on the par 27 course: Joe Pantoni 30, Tom Gneiser 31, Matt Rudolph 33, Brendan Savage 34, Nathan Ockrim 34, Sam Johnson 38, Connor Wyent 39, Tommy Remi 45, and Lukas Krapukaitas 45.
Week of August 17th - Week of August 31st
Varsity Golf season has been going very well so far. As always, the Hornets have one of the toughest pre-season schedules in the state. It makes winning matches very difficult, but helps improve our scores early in the season. The Hornets started 0-4 vs. Hinsdale Central, LT, DGN and Glenbard West.
Billy Gneiser was the medalist in all those matches with scores 38, 39, 34 and 38. Billy is one of the best golfers in the area. He showed this during the early part of the schedule versus difficult competition.
Charlie Gneiser was our 2nd best golfer in our first 4 matches with scores 44, 41, 40 and 41. Charlie is also one of the best golfers in the area. He is getting more and more confidence every match. The Hornets are 1-0 in conference with the victory over AT last Thursday. Medalist was Billy Gneiser with a 39 at a tough Oak Meadows golf course. Other scores that counted, Charlie Gneiser 41, Jelani Wilson 45 and Ethan Bellettini 53.
Frosh/Soph 8/17- 8/22 The Hornets opened up their season against perennial state power Hinsdale Central on Wednesday 8/19 at Carriage Greens in Darien. The young Hornets were defeated by a score of 164-208. The Hornets scoring was as follows: Tommy Gneiser 48, Joe Pantoni 50, Matt Rudolph 55, Lukas Krapukaitas 55, Connor Wyent 59, and Sam Johnson 60.
On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Countryside to play in a triangular meet vs York and Lyons Township at Flagg Creek Golf Course. The team scores were the following: Lyons Township 156, York 159 and Hinsdale South 202. The Hornets scoring was as follows: Tommy Gneiser 45, Connor Wyent 51, Matt Rudolph 52, Nathan Ockrim 54, Lukas Krapukaitas 55, Joe Pantoni 56, Brendan Savage 57, Tommy Remi 57, Sam Johnson 60 and Dylan McMurray 66.
8/24- 8/29 The Hornets opened up the week against Downers Grove North on Tuesday 8/25 at Carriage Greens in Darien. The young Hornets were defeated by a score of 168-204. The Hornets scoring was as follows: Brendan Savage 49, Tommy Gneiser 50, Joe Pantoni 51, Connor Wyent 54, Nathan Ockrim 59, Tommy Remi 61, Matt Rudolph 62, Dylan McMurray 62 and Lukas Krapukaitas 65.
On Wednesday the Hornets traveled back to Countryside to play Lyons Township at Flagg Creek Golf Course. The Hornets lost to LT by a score of 181 to 145; but the Hornets showed great improvement by reducing their score by 21 strokes in less than 5 days. The Hornets scoring was as follows: Joe Pantoni 43, Tommy Gneiser 44, Lukas Krapukaitas 46, Matt Rudolph 48, Connor Wyent 51, Brendan Savage 54, Tommy Remi 55, Nathan Ockrim 55, Sam Johnson 58 and Walt Wrobel 66. On Thursday; 4 frosh/soph Hornets traveled to Village Links in Glen Ellyn to take on the Hilltoppers. The Hornets lost by a score of 191-208. The Hornets scores were the following: Tommy Gneiser 48, Joe Pantoni 50, Matt Rudolph 51, and Connor Wyent 59.
8/31- 9/5 On Thursday 9/3 the Hornets went to Oak Meadows in Addison to take on the Addison Trail Blazers in the West Suburban Gold Conference Opener. The Hornets got the win as they defeated AT by a score of 198 to 247. The Hornets scoring went as follows: Joe Pantoni 47, Brendan Savage 48, Tommy Gneiser 50, Sam Johnson 53, Nathan Ockrim 55, Matt Rudolph 57, and Connor Wyent 60.
