Varsity On Monday Charlie Gneiser had to withdraw from Sectionals because of illness, the other 3 players did their best, but did not qualify for state. Frankie Klemm shot a 79, Colin Lyster shot a 80 and Kyle Cattaneo shot a 93.

Varsity On Tuesday the Hornets shot 329 at Regionals to finish in 4th, 3 strokes behind the 3rd place team. Medalist was Charlie Gneiser with a 78, other scores that counted, Kyle Cattaneo 81, Frankie Klemm 85 and Colin Lyster 85. Hornets had 4 players qualify for Sectionals, Charlie Gneiser, Kyle Cattaneo, Frankie Klemm and Colin Lyster.
Week of September 24th
Varsity On Tuesday the Hornets finished 2nd in the WSC gold at the conference tournament. Medalist at Conference was Colin Lyster with an 81. Other scores that counted toward the team score of 340 were Charlie Gneiser with an 81, Frankie Klemm 87 and Payton Hultmark 91.
On Saturday the Hornets finished the LaSalle Invite with a score of 332 to finish 8th out of 17 teams. Medalist was Billy Gneiser with an 80. Other scores that counted, Charlie Gneiser 81, Colin Lyster 83 and Frankie Klemm 87. Frosh/Soph On Tuesday (9/25) the Hornets hosted traveled to Bloomingdale Golf Course to compete in the West Suburban Gold Conference Golf Tournament. The Hornets entered the tournament with 5 dual points from their conference matches which put them into a three way tie with DGS and Willowbrook. The young Hornets showed great improvement this season shooting a season low 345 at the Par 71 course. The Hornets defeated DGS by 8 strokes and were leading the tournament until the final competitor from Willowbrook came in with an 85. The Hornets finished in second place but had a tremendous season. Billy Gneiser was the individual champion for the West Suburban Gold Division shooting a 79.

Varsity The hornets had a great week, we beat Leyden on Tuesday 166-180, Medalist was Frankie Klemm with a 38, other scores that counted, Colin Lyster 45, Sawyer Jones 42, Grant Blum 42.
On Thursday, the hornets had a forfeit win over Proviso East.
On Saturday the hornets took 12th out of 13 teams at the Hinsdale Central Invite. Medalist was Frankie Klemm with an 87, other scores that counted, Colin Lyster 88, Charlie Gneiser 87, Kyle Cattaneo 89.

Frosh/Soph On Tuesday the Hornets hosted traveled to White Pines Golf Course in Bensenville to take on conference opponent Leyden. The Hornets defeated the Eagles by a score of 197- 234. The Hornets were led by medalist Billy Gneiser who shot a 44. Emmet Savage shot a 47, Parker Bozzi 52, Drew Deolitsis 54, Drew Duckhorn 54, and Eliot Fulscher had a 66. The Hornets are now 4-1 in the West Suburban Gold Conference and are in a three way tie for the conference championship with DGS and Willowbrook.
On Thursday the Hornets defeated Proviso East to go 5-1 in the dual matches. The Hornets finished the dual match portion of the season tied for first with Willowbrook and DGS. The Hornet scores at Zig Field Troy were the following: Billy Gneiser 31, Drew Duckhorn 35, Emmett Savage 35, Parker Bozzi 40, Drew Deolitsis 40, and Alex Marth 42.
On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Villa Park to play in the Willowbrook Invite. The team shot 337 finishing in 5th place out of 11 teams. The Hornets score’s were the following: Billy Gnieser 79, Emmett Savage 81, Parker Bozzi 83, Drew Duckhorn 94, and Drew Deolitsis 99. Billy Gneiser finished 16th overall, Emmett Savage finished 19th and Parker Bozzi finished 22nd overall.
Week of September 10th
Varsity Hornets lost a very close match to DGS 175-180, it came down to the last two golfers. HS was led by medalist Colin Lyster with a 42, other scores that counted, Frankie Klemm 44, Charlie Gneiser 48, Payton Hultmark 46.
On Saturday the Hornets came in 4th out of 4 teams at the Naperville Central Invite. There was a tie for medalist with Colin Lyster and Charlie Gneiser both shooting 79, other scores that counted Frankie Klemm 85 and Kyle Cataneo 83.
Frosh/Soph On Monday the Hornets hosted conference rival Downers Grove South at Carriage Greens. The young improving Hornets took their first conference loss by a score of 193-204. The Hornets Billy Gneiser was the medalist of the dual meet shooting a 42. The other Hornet scores were the following: Drew Deolitsis 54, Emmett Savage 54, Parker Bozzi 54, Eliot Fulscher 62, Alex Marth 62, and Drew Duckhorn 63. The Hornets are now 3-1 on the season and in 2nd place in the West Suburban Gold Conference.
On Saturday the Hornets hosted the 15th annual Hornet Invite at Carriage Greens. The sophomores finished 3rd overall and Billy Gneiser shot an 85, tying him for 10th place individually. The Hornets had a team score of 381. York High School was the 2018 team champion shooting a 302 and Zach Sutter of York was the individual champion shooting an even par 72. The Hornets continued their improvement by having every player shoot a nine hole score in the 40’s. The scores were the following: Billy Gneiser 44-41=85, Drew Deolitsis 60-49=109, Emmett Savage 49-48=97, Parker Bozzi 52-47=99, Drew Duckhorn 53-47=100, and Alex Marth 57-48=105.
Week of September 3rd
Varsity Varsity Boys golf team had a great week. On Tuesday 9/4 we beat Addison Trail 170-197. Our medalist was Kyle Cataneo, shooting 42 out of the 7th position. Other scores that counted were Sawyer Jones with a 42 out of the 8th position, Frankie Klemm 43 and Payton Hultmark 43.
On Saturday, 9/8 the Hornets participated in the Providence Invite at the Sanctuary golf course in New Lennox. In a very big and talented field, the Hornets finished 14th out of 27 teams. Medalist was Colin Lyster with a 78, other scores that counted were Frankie Klemm 85, Charlie Gneiser 86 and Payton Hultmark 87. Frosh/Soph On Tuesday the Hornets traveled to Itasca to play Addison Trail at Salt Creek Golf Course. The Hornets played well as a team as they defeated Addison Trail by a score of 176-194. The Hornets moved their conference record to 3-0 with the victory. The Hornets Billy Gneiser was the medalist of the meet shooting 38. The other Hornet scores were the following: Parker Bozzi 45, Emmett Savage 46, Alex Marth 47, Drew Duckhorn 47, Drew Deolitsis 53, and Eliot Fulscher 42.
On Saturday the Hornets returned to Salt Creek to play in the AT Ryder Cup Invite. The young Hornets continued to improve their golf games in the two man team event. The Hornets team finished 3rd overall. Billy Gneiser and Drew Deolitsis shot 70 to finish 4th overall as a two man team and Drew Duckhorn and Emmett Savage shot a 77th to finish 10th overall. Alex Marth and Eliot Fulscher shot 87 to round out the Hornet scores
Week of August 27th
Varsity The Hornets beat Willowbrook 168-189 on Tuesday, August 29th. Medalist for the match was Colin Lyster with a 40 for 9 holes. Other scores that counted, Kyle Cataneo 44, Grant Blum 42 and Sawyer Jones 42. Unfortunately, our match with DGS was canceled as well as our tournament at Willowbrook Frosh/Soph On Tuesday the frosh/soph Hornets were not able to complete the match vs. Downers South due to lightning and rain. The Hornets and Mustangs have been re-scheduled for September 10th. On Wednesday the Hornets hosted conference rival Willowbrook at Carriage Greens. The Hornets defeated the Warriors by a score of 194 to 207. The Hornet’s Billy Gneiser was the medalist of the meet shooting a 42. The other Hornets scores were Drew Duckhorn 49, Parker Bozzi 50, Emmett Savage 53, Eliot Fulscher 53, Alex Marth 50 and Drew Deolitsis 66. The Hornets are now 2-0 in the West Suburban Gold Conference. On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Rolling Meadows to play in the tough Rolling Meadows Mustang Invite at Arlington Lakes Golf Course. The young Hornets finished 10th out of the 15 team field by shooting a team score of 369. The Hornets gathered experience for their young team and all of the golfers continued to show improvement. Billy Gneiser medaled and finished 10th out of 150 golfers. Varsity The Varsity lost to Hinsdale Central on Monday 8/20 144-175, Colin Lyster was medalist with a 41, other scores that counted were, Frankie Klemm 46, Charlie Gneiser 44, Payton Hultmark 44.
The Varsity lost to Downers Grove North on Tuesday 8/21 143-157, Colin Lyster was medalist with a 39, other scores that counted were, Grant Blum 38, Charlie Gneiser 39, Payton Hultmark 41.
The Varsity finished 4/13 teams at Rolling Meadows invite. Colin Lyster was medalist with a 75, other scores that counted were, Grant Blum 78, Frankie Klemm 90, Payton Hultmark 83. Colin Lyster finished in 9th place individually. Frosh/Soph On Monday the frosh/soph Hornets were not able to complete the match vs. Hinsdale Central due to lightning and rain. The Hornets and Red Devils got through 7 holes before the weather stopped the match.
On Tuesday the Hornets hosted Downers Grove North at Carriage Greens. The Hornets were defeated by a score of 170-196. The Hornet’s Billy Gneiser was the medalist of the meet shooting a 3 over par 38. The other Hornets scores were: Emmett Savage 48, Drew Duckhorn 54, Drew Deolitsis 56, Eliot Fulscher 56, Parker Bozzi 57 and Alex Marth 58.
On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Joliet to play in a Ryder Cup Format at Woodruff Golf Course. The Hornets finished in the middle of the 13 team pack by shooting a team score of 356. The Hornets scores were the following:

Varsity Hornets beat Morton to go 1-0 in conference by a score of 157-184, On Wednesday, August 15. Medalist for the match was Colin Lyster with a 37, other scores that counted toward team score Frankie Klemm 39, Charlie Gneiser 40 and Payton Hultmark 41.
Hornets lost to LT at Chicago Highlands golf course 178 -150, on Thursday, August 16. Medalist for the match was Colin Lyster with a 40, other scores that counted toward team score, Frankie Klemm 43, Jake Kepacz 48, Kyle Cataneo 47.
Hornets beat OEHS at carriage greens 339-343 in an 18 hole dual on Saturday, August 18. Medalist for the match was Colin Lyster with 81, other scores that counted, frankie Klemm 86, Jake Kepacz 86, Payton Hultmark 89. Frosh/Soph On Thursday and Saturday this week the Hornets went to Flagg Creek to compete against Lyons Township and York. The Hornets were defeated on Thursday vs. LT and shot a team score of 194. Billy Gneiser was the medalist of the day shooting a 36. Emmett Savage shot a 45.
On Saturday the Hornets were defeated by both LT and York but the Hornets improved 16 strokes shooting a 178. The Hornets were led by Charlie Gneiser with a 41, Billy Gneiser’s 43, Emmett Savage’s 45, and Parker Bozzi’s 49. The season is earlier and the inexperienced Hornets are showing improvement.
Week of August 6th
Varsity Hornets finished 16/20 at the Addision Trail Invite at Joliet Country Club and shot 360. Medalist were Freshmen, Billy Gneiser and Senior Frankie Klemm, both shot 87. Other scores that counted were Payton Hultmark and Charlie Gneiser both with 93.
Frosh/Soph On Thursday the Hornets opened up the season at Salt Creek Golf Course in Itasca. The young Hornets finished 2nd as a team in the Addison Trail two man scramble event. The Hornets Billy Gneiser and Drew Deolitsis finished 2nd overall shooting a 3 over par 66 as a team. Charlie Gneiser and Eliot Fulscher were 1 shot behind at a 4 over 67; placing third overall. Emmett Savage and Drew Duckhorn shot a respectable 79 to finish out the team score of 212.
