On Monday, October 9th Frankie Klemm shot an 88 in the IHSA Sectional at Glendale Lakes. It was his first elimination tournament and he played very well. He is definitely, one to watch next year. Colin Lyster shot 75 at and qualified for the state tournament. He is only a sophomore and the first Hornet to qualify in 5 years.
Friday, October 13th & Saturday, October 14th - IHSA State Meet Colin shot a 2 day total of 160 at the IHSA State tournament at the Den golf course in Bloomington. He shot an 81 the first day and a 79 the second. Colin finished 67/107. We are very proud of Colin and looking forward to more great things to come from him.

Varsity Won the WSC gold championship on Tuesday 9/26 with a team score of 320, which was our lowest team score of the year! Medalist was Colin lyster 74. Other scores, Will Asmus 77, graham Loughead 82 and JR Rickert 87.

Frosh/Soph On Tuesday the Hornets traveled to Glendale Heights to play in the West Suburban Conference Golf Tournament. The Hornets finished the West Suburban Conference with a 6-0 record in dual meets, and needed a 2nd place or higher finish at the conference tournament to be conference champs. The Hornets did not disappoint as they finished in 2nd place in the tournament and ended the regular season as the West Suburban Gold Conference Champs. The four scores that counted in the team score were the following: Grant Blum 83 (3rd place overall), Charlie Gneiser 85 (5TH place overall), Kyle Cattaneo 86 (6th place overall), and Sawyer Jones 87 (7th place overall).

Frosh/Soph On Tuesday the Hornets hosted the Morton Mustangs in their last conference dual meet of the season. The Hornets defeated Morton by a score of 171-244. The Hornets finished the West Suburban Conference 6-0 in their dual meets. The four scores that counted in the team score were the following: Grant Blum 42, Charlie Gneiser 42, Kyle Cattaneo 42, and Sawyer Jones 45.
On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Villa Park to play in the Willowbrook Invite. The Hornets finished 7th in the invite and shot a team score of 326. Varsity The varsity boys golf team beat Proviso East on Tuesday 9/12 at Columbus park gc. Medalist was Payton Hultmark with a 39, other scores that counted were JR Rickert 42, Patrick Savage and Frankie Klemm 43.
Saturday 9/16 we finished 4/4 at Naperville Central invite medalist Colin Lyster 82, Payton Hultmark 86, JR Rickert 86 and Will Asmus 87.
Frosh/Soph On Tuesday the Hornets received a forfeit from Proviso East making them 5-0 in the West Suburban Gold Conference.
On Saturday the Hornets hosted the Hornet Invite at Carriage Greens Golf Course. The team scores were the following:

The Hornets finished 2nd out of 6 teams and shot a team total of 335. The Hornets were led by Charlie Gneiser who shot a 77; good for 2nd place overall and by Kyle Cattaneo’s 82; good for 5th place. Grant Blum shot an 85 and finished tied for 8th place. Sawyer Jones rounded out the team scoring with a 91; placing him 16th overall.

Charlie Gneiser was the medalist of the meet; firing a 38. The Hornets are now 3-0 in conference. The Hornets defeated Addison Trail (180-320) in a West Suburban Conference Gold meet and moved their conference record to 4-0. (Est. 1898) The Hornets were defeated by a score of 152 – 180 but showed much improvement playing on a very tough course for the first time. Grant Blum played the last 5 holes 2 under par on his way to a 36. On Tuesday the Hornets traveled to Downers Grove to play the historic Downers Grove Municipal Golf Course. (Est. in 1896; the Original Golf Club of Chicago) The Hornets were led by Kyle Cattaneo and Charlie Gneiser who each shot a 47. The Hornets lost to DGN by a score of 198-173. The four scores that counted in the team total were the following: Grant Blum 51, Sawyer Jones 53, Kyle Cattaneo 47, and Charlie Gneiser 47.
On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Joliet to play in the Porter Cup. This is a Ryder Cup format (6 holes of best ball, 6 holes of alternate shot, and 6 holes of scramble) that consists of 4 two man teams. As a team the Hornets shot 335 and finished 7th out of 15 teams. The Hornets were led by the two man team of Cattaneo and Gneiser who shot a 75 in the Ryder Cup Format to finish 6th overall. Varsity On Tuesday we lost to LT 176-160. Will Asmus was the medalist with a 40, other scores that counted toward our total where Colin Lyster with a 43, JR Rickert with a 47 and Graham Loughead with a 46.
On Saturday we beat OEHS in an 18 hole duel 330-341. Medalist was Graham Loughead with a 78, other scores that counted where Colin Lyster with an 81, will Asmus with an 86 and Frankie Klemm with an 85. Frosh/Soph The Hornets started out their season by hosting perennial state power Lyons Township at Carriage Greens on Tuesday 8/15. The Hornets were defeated by a score of 176-191. The young Hornets were led in scoring by sophomore Grant Blum who shot a team low 40. On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Countryside to play in a triangular meet with York HS and Lyons Township. Lyons Township won the triangular shooting 152, followed by York’s 160 and then Hinsdale South’s 175. The Hornets score of 175 was their lowest score in the last five years in this event. All nine of the Hornets who played in this JV event lowered their scores from Tuesday. Varsity Boys Varsity golf team got off to a great start. We had an excellent first week of practice. Our first tournament was on Friday, August 11. We placed 15/20 teams. Our team medalist was Colin Lyster with an 86 at Joliet Country Club. We are looking forward to a another great week with a big match vs. LT on Tuesday at Carriage Greens.
