Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph Hornets finished the golf season competing in the West Suburban Gold Conference Tournament on Tuesday (9/27). The Hornets finished in second place in the conference behind Downers Grove South by going 5-1 in the dual meets and by placing second in the conference tournament held at Bloomingdale Golf Club. The Hornets shot 361 as a team; trailing Downers Grove South’s total of 353. The Hornets had all 6 of their golfers finish in the top 16. The Hornets individuals finished with the following scores and places on the par 71 course:

Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph Hornets played West Suburban Gold Conference opponent Morton on Tuesday (9/20) at Fresh Meadows in Westchester. The Hornets defeated Morton 197 to 259 and moved their conference record to 5-1. The Hornet scores were the following: Payton Hultmark 45, Kyle Cattaneo 50, Sawyer Jones 50, Jiries Fakhouri 52, Nick Zelenik 52, and Jayden Arquines 55.
On Saturday (9/24) the Hornets played in the annual Willowbrook Invite at Sugar Creek Golf Course in Villa Park. The Hornets finished in 4th place (out of 12 teams) behind York High School, Lyons Township and Lake Park. The Hornets shot 324 as a team. Varsity One match a victory over Proviso East, JR Rickert medalist. 4/4 in Naperville Central tournament, Medalist Justin Schoenhardt 79, Alex Schmid carded an 83. Although, we finished in the same place as last year our scores improved a lot.
Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph Hornets played another West Suburban Gold Conference opponent on Tuesday (9/13). The Hornets defeated Proviso East and moved their conference record to 4-1 in the conference. The Hornet scores were the following at Zig Field Troy: Kyle Cattaneo 31, Frankie Klemm 32, Colin Lyster 32, Jake Klepacz 35, Patrick Savage 35, Sawyer Jones 35, Jiries Fakhouri 35, Nick Zelenik 36, Payton Hultmark 37, Jayden Arquines 39, Jacob Salvatori 41 and Cole Bozzi 41. On Saturday (9/17) the Hornets hosted the annual Hornet Invite at Carriage Greens Golf Course. The Hornets finished in 3rd place behind York High School and Downers Grove North. The Hornets shot 187 as a team. The Hornets scores that counted in the team score were the following: Jake klepacz 44 (4TH overall), Frankie Klemm 47, Sawyer Jones 48, and Nick Zelenik 48.

Beat Leyden on Wednesday, Tyler Hulvat was medalist with a 41
18/28 on Saturday at the Providence Invite, medalist Justin with a 78. Team improved several spots from last year at the same tournament. Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph Hornets played conference rival Downers Grove South on Tuesday (9/6). The Hornets lost by 9 strokes. (184-175) The four scores for the Hornets that figured in the team score were the following: Frankie Klemm 45, CJ Drake 46, Jake Klepacz 46, and Payton Hultmark 47. The Hornets are now 1-1 in the West Suburban Gold.
On Wednesday (9/7) the Hornets traveled to White Pines Golf Course in Bensenville and took on Leyden in a conference match. The Hornets played well and defeated Leyden 180-245. The Hornets were led in scoring by Frankie Klemm who shot a meet low 43 and took the medalist honor. The other three Hornet scores to count in the team score were the following: CJ Drake 44, Kyle Cattaneo 44, Jake klepacz 49. The Hornets moved their record to 2-1 in the West Suburban Gold.
Thursday (9/8) the Hornets traveled to Salt Creek Golf Course in Wood Dale to take on Addison Trail High School. The Hornets beat AT by a score of 159-187. The medalist of the meet was Frankie Klemm who shot a 36. The other three scores that made up the team score were: Patrick Savage 39, CJ Drake 41, and Payton Hultmark 43. The Hornets are now 3-1 in the West Suburban Gold and currently in second place in the conference standings.
On Saturday (9/9) the Hornets played in the Addison Trail Quad at Salt Creek Golf Course. This event was a Ryder Cup Format. The Hornets finished just 5 shots behind champion Lake Park. The Hornets two man teams shot the following: Klemm/Drake =75, Klepacz/Savage= 80, and Cattaneo/ Hultmark = 81.
Week of August 29th
Varsity Friday 9/2 Varsity golf beat Willowbrook 178-195. Medalist was freshmen Colin Lyster. Varsity moves to 1-0 in conference play. Saturday 9/3 Varsity shot a 5 under 59 at the Willowbrook scramble. We finished 6/9 teams.
Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph Hornets played conference foe Willowbrook on Friday (9/2). The Hornets won by 19 strokes. (192-211) The four scores for the Hornets that figured in the team score were the following: Frankie Klemm 46, CJ Drake 47, Patrick Savage 49, Jake Klepacz 50, and Payton Hultmark 50. The Hornets are now 1-0 in the West Suburban Gold.
On Saturday (9/3) the Hornets played in the Rolling Meadows Invitational at Arlington Lakes Golf Course. The Hornets finished 12th as a team shooting 371. The Hornets Colin Lyster shot a team low 81 and finished 13th overall. Jake Klepacz shot 83 finishing 18th overall. The other Hornet scores were the following: Frankie Klemm 101, Payton Hultmark 106, and Cole Bozzi 128.
Week of August 22nd
Varsity Monday 8/22 played Hinsdale Central at Cog Hill #2. We lost, but team played very well. Justin Schoenhardt shot 40 and Alex Schmid shot 43.
Tuesday 8/23 played DGN at Cog Hill #1 and won 161-171. Team played very well. Justin Schoenhardt shot 36, Freshmen Colin Lyster shot 40 and Junior Will Asmus shot 41.
Wednesday 8/24 played LT at Chicago Highlands. We lost, but it was a great experience. The course was beautiful, highlighted by the 9th green which sits at the highest point in the western suburbs. Justin Schoenhardt shot 39 and Colin Lyster shot 41.
Saturday 8/27 played in the Warren invite at Bittersweet golf course. Finished 14/16 on a very difficult course. Justin Schoenhardt shot 83 and James Kiwiet, Will Asmus and Colin Lyster all shot 91.
Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph. Hornets played district rival Hinsdale Central on Monday (8/22). The Hornets lost by 18 strokes but shot a season low 172. The four scores for the Hornets that figured in the team score were the following: Colin Lyster 39, Kyle Cattaneo 43, CJ Drake 44, and Frankie Klemm 46.
On Tuesday (8/23) the Hornets defeated Downers Grove North; 179-182. The four scores that figured in the team score were: Payton Hultmark 42, Jake Klepacz 43, Frankie Klemm 46, and Kyle Cattaneo 48.
On Wednesday (8/24) the Hornets returned to Flagg Creek to play Lyons Township. The Hornets lost 175 -157 but improved their team score by 9 strokes in less than a week. The Hornet scores were: Jake Klepacz 42, Payton Hultmark 43, Frankie Klemm 44, and Kyle Cattaneo 46.
On Saturday the Hornets traveled to Joliet and played in the Lockport Porters Invite. The Hornets shot 358 as a team in the Ryder Cup format. The Hornets finished 3rd out of 15 teams. CJ Drake and Frankie Klemm shot 78 and finished in a tie for 3rd as a 2 man team. The other 2 man team scores were the following: Jake Klepacz and Patrick Savage 87, Kyle Cattaneo and Payton Hultmark 91, and Sawyer Jones and Nick Zelenik shot 102.
Week of August 15th
Varsity Varsity Golf finished 7/20 teams at the Addison Trail Invite. The medalist was Justin Schoenhardt for Hinsdale South. Scores used in the invite, Justion Schoenhardt +4, Will Asmus +5, Alex Schmid +7 and Tyler Hulvat +8.
Frosh/Soph The Frosh/Soph. golf season got underway at Flagg Creek this Saturday. It was a wet and rainy day in Countryside. The Hornets shot 184 as a team. York shot 148 and Lyons Township shot 151. The four scores for the Hornets that figured in the team score were the following:
