2025-2026 Boys' Bowling Weekly Highlights


Week of January 5th

On Tuesday the Hornets traveled to Stardust Bowl to face Willowbrook.  The varsity lost 2898-3221.  Carter D’Andrea led the team with a 562 series and games of 191, 191, 180.  Jmar Pittman (226) and Jack Madden (218) both had their high games of the year.  The JV bowled short handed and lost 2109-2716.  Eamon Bargher had a great night shooting a 539 series with a 211 game.  

South hosted Hinsdale Central on Wednesday.  The varsity won 2872-2363.  Carter D’Andrea had a great night shooting a 621 series with games of 211, 183, and 227.  Vasili Monogios tied his career best with a 236 game.  The JV won against a short-handed Red Devil team 2152-655.  Eamon Bargher led the team with 478 series and 214 game.  

On Thursday the team returned to Stardust to bowl York.  The night ended in a crazy way when the power went out after game two.  The varsity lost 1918-2361.  Aidan Yen led the team with a 352 two-game series.  Jack Madden chipped in with a 342.  The JV lost 1291-1802.  Arjon Skendo (303) and Orest Oleynych (300) led the team.  

Week of December 15th

On Monday the Hornets hosted Reavis.  The varsity battled through tough lane conditions, but lost 2503-2527.  Aidan Yen shot a great series (610) with games of 236 and 204.  Vasili Monogios chipped in with a 234 game.  The JV lost 1810-2514.  Jack Madden (418) and Jackson Clemens (399) led the team.  

On Thursday the team hosted Plainfield Central.  The varsity fought back in the third game and won 2465-2328.  Carter D'Andrea again led the team with a 548 series and 211 game.  Aidan Yen chipped in with a 530 series.  The JV bowled well and won 2088-1820.  Jack Madden had the high series (460) and game (201).  

The Hornets competed in the Topcat Classic on Saturday.  The varsity finished 16th out of 16 teams.  Vasili Monogios led the team with a 180 average over five games. Ramus Jenkins averaged 178 which included a 242 game.  Carter D’Andrea shot a great game at 257.  The JV finished 10th out of 14 teams.  Jack Madden had a great day shooting a 1018 series.  Ryan Larsen chipped in with a 958 series.

Week of December 8th

The Hornets hosted Chicago Christian on Tuesday.  The varsity won 2600-2444.  Carter D’Andrea had a solid day shooting a 626 series with games of 216,190, and 220.  The JV won by forfeit.  Arjon Skendo shot a 555 series with games of 202 and 235 to lead the way.

On Thursday the Hornets hosted Downers Grove North for a conference match.  The varsity lost 3243-3014.  Carter D’Andrea had a great night shooting a 633 series with games of 216, 227, and 190.  The JV were down a man and lost 2128-2820.  Jackson Clemens had a career night rolling a 533 series with games of 184, 161, and 188.  

On Saturday the varsity and JV competed in the Oswego East Invite.  The varsity finished the 4-game morning block in 16th place.  This gave them the 8 seed for the silver bracket of baker play.  The team came close, but dropped the first round game to #1 seed Joliet Central 680-630.  Ramus Jenkins led the team during the morning with a 652 4-game series.  Carter D’Andrea added a 646 series. The JV finished the morning in the 14th place which earned them #6 seed for baker play.  The team battled, but lost in the opening round to #3 seed Oswego 617-612.  Jack Madden led the team in the morning by shooting a 645 4-game series.  Oresy Oleynych had his best day shooting a 618 series.  

Week of December 1st

On Monday the Hornets hosted Nazareth Academy.  The varsity earned their first win of the season 2698-2526.  Aidan Yen led the way with a 579 series.  Vasili Monogios shot the high game of 231.   The JV picked up another win 2061-1843.  Ryan Larsen (486) and Arjon Skendo (437) led the team.  

The varsity traveled to Circle Bowl on Tuesday to face Proviso East.  The varsity earned their second win of the season and first ever conference win 2910-1560.  Carter D’Andrea once again led the team with a 587 series and two 220 games.  Vasili Monogios shot a nice 211 game.

South hosted Oak Lawn on Wednesday.  The varsity lost 2589-2968.  Aidan Yen led the way with a 586 series and 221 game.  Carter D’Andrea continued his solid play shooting a 536 series and 212 game.  The JV lost 2017-2283.  Nick Marzullo (438), Jack Madden (435), and Orest Oleynych (425) were the top bowlers.

On Thursday the Hornets hosted Leyden.  The varsity earned their second conference win of the year 3082-2762.  Carter D’Andrea had a great night shooting a 589 series with games of 231 and 206.  Jmar Pittman (211) and Ramus Jenkins (200) had nice games.  The JV won 2348-2217.  Ryan Larsen (467 series, 200 game) and Arjon Skendo (464 series) bowled well. 

Week of November 24th

The Hornets hosted the Glenbard North/West Co-op on Tuesday.  The varsity lost 2561-2869.  Vasili Monogios made his first appearance on the varsity and led the team with a 575 series and games of 201, 161, and 200.  The JV earned their second win of the season 2060-1415.  Arjon Skendo led the team with a 471 series and 199 game.  Jack Madden helped with a 467 series and 199 game.  

Week of November 17th

On Tuesday the Hornets competed against their rival Downers Grove South.  The varsity lost 2763-3219.  Carter D’Andrea again led the team with a 531 series and 198 game.  The JV lost a close one 2220-2227.  Ryan Larsen (436) and Vasili Monogios (422) led the team.

South traveled to Lisle Lanes to bowl against Naperville Central on Wednesday.  The varsity lost 2288-2918.  Carter D’Andrea again led the team with a 527 series and 191 game.  Ramus Jenkins bowled well by shooting a 496 series.  The JV lost 1832-1970.  Vasili Monogios (395),  Nick Marzullo (391), and Ajon Skendo (388) led the way.

The Hornets hosted Addison Trail on Thursday.  The varsity lost 2714-3218.  Carter D’Andrea shot a 521 series and 184 game to lead the way.  Ramus Jenkins chipped in with a 480 series and 183 game.  The JV earned their first victory of the year 2214-2132.  Vasili Monogios (467 series) and Arjon Skendo (457) had their best nights of the year to lead the team.  

On Saturday the varsity competed in the Plainfield North Invite.  The team finished 11th in the bronze division and 37th out of 44 overall.  Ramus Jenkins had a great day finishing 88th by shooting a 1084 series.  The JV bowled in the Lake Park Invite.  The Hornets finished 22nd out of 26 teams.  Vasili Monogios led the team finishing 42nd overall with a 931 series.  

Week of November 10th

The Hornets started the week off on Tuesday by hosting Oswego.  The varsity lost 2253-2400.  Carter D’Andrea shot the high series (509) and game (183).  The JV lost 1815-2050.  Ryan Larsen had led the team with a 414 series and 174 game.

South hosted Glenbard East/ South on Wednesday.  The varsity improved, but lost 2324-2885.  Carter D’Andrea again led the team with a 500 series and 189 game.  The JV also improved, but came up short 1857-2395.  Nick Marzullo had the high series (420) and game (159).

On Thursday the team competed in their first ever West Suburban Conference match against Lyons Township.  The varsity lost 2765-3370.  Carter D’Andrea (503 series), Jmar Pittman (487), and Ryan Larsen (479) led the team.  Eamon Bargher shot a 193 high game.  The JV lost 2254-2788.  Jack Madden had his best series (465) to lead the team.
