The Boy's bowling team wrapped up the season on Saturday at the Lake Park Sectional. The Hornets finished 9th out of 16 teams. The team was only 40 pins away from making a trip to the state finals. Nathan Arnold finished a great career shooting 1227 to come in 25th place. James Most also had a good day shooting 1105 and finishing 58th. Malav Shah threw the high game of his career with a 254.
Week of January 11th
On Thursday the team took on Lyons Township at Rolling Lanes. The Varsity lost 2558-2946. James Most had the series (530) and game (200). The JV lost 2130-2686. Kevin Mass had the high series (462).
On Saturday the varsity hosted Regionals, and finished 4th out of 11 teams. This finish advances the team to next Saturday's Sectional at Lake Park. Nathan Arnold finished 7th with a 1261 six-game series. James Most was right behind in 10th place with a 1231.
Week of January 4th
On Tuesday the team cheered the Hornet girls to a victory over Leyden.
On Wednesday the team took on Oak Lawn in a 2-game series. The varsity lost 1848-1946. Nathan Arnold had a great night shooting games of 258 and 245. The JV won 1761-1487. Alex Briscolino was the leading bowler with a 223 game and 376 series.
On Thursday both levels lost to Plainfield North. The varsity score was 2725-3064. Nathan Arnold again led the way with a 559 series. Anthony Gattuso had the high game with a 211. The JV score was 2454-2503. Kevin Massa had a great series with a 562.
Week of December 14th The Boy's bowling team had only one competition this week. The team took on Reavis on Monday at El Mar Bowl. The varsity lost 2653-2914. Nathan Arnold led the team again with a 591 series and 233 game. The JV won 2674-2287. Kevin Massa (604 series) and Kevin Hamilton (567 series) paced the team.
Week of December 7th
On Monday the team traveled to Town and Country Lanes to take on the Plainfield South Cougars. The varsity won 2824-2559. James Most paced the team with a 570 series and 224 game. The JV lost 2360-2380. Ricky Klepacz shot a 593 with a 213 game to lead the team.
On Tuesday the team took on Chicago Christian at Orland Bowl. The varsity shot their best series of the year, winning 3040-2979. Anthony Gattuso (628 series) and Kevin Hamilton (621 series) paced the team. The JV won 2494-2144. Malav Shah led the way with a 549 series and 202 game.
On Thursday the team celebrated Senior Night after the competition with Plainfield Central. It was a great night to honor seniors Nathan Arnold, James Most, Alex Briscolino, Anthony Gattuso, and Malav Shah. The varsity bowled well, but lost 2826-2861. Nathan Arnold (647 series, 246 game) and Alex Briscolino (600 series, 224 game) led the team. The JV lost 2445-2735. Ricky Klepacz again led the team with 588 series and 243 game.
On Saturday the varsity competed in the Lincoln Way East Invite. The team finished 3rd in the silver division. This was by far the best showing at a tournament so far this year.
Week of November 30th
On Monday the varsity lost to Shepard 2537-2986. James Most had the high series (549) and game (212). The JV won 2298-2236. Kevin Massa led the way with a 505 series. Malav Shah had the high game with a 203.
The Hornets defeated Hinsdale Central on Tuesday. The varsity won 2843-2561. Nathan Arnold was the leading bowler with a 627 series. Kevin Hamilton rolled a 241 for high game. The JV won 2583-2417. Malav Shah had a nice 586 series. Kevin Massa shot a 203 for high game.
The varsity struggled on Saturday, finishing 13 out of 14 teams at the Oswego East Invite. The JV finished 7th of 12 teams.
Week of November 16th
The team had another busy week. On Monday the varsity lost to Bolingbrook by a score of 2601-2983. Nathan Arnold led the team with a 599 series. The JV lost 2428-2628. Zach Medlin had the high series with a 514. On Tuesday, the Hornets were victorious against Hinsdale Central 2658-2554. Nathan Arnold led the way again with a 598 series. The JV also won 2477-2076. Alex Briscolino paced the team with a 587. On Thursday, the team was defeated by Oswego 2606-2819. Alex Briscolino led the varsity with a 643 series and 245 game. The JV lost 2296-2300. Malav Shah bowled a 543 series to led the team.
On Saturday, the varsity finished 25th out of 48 teams at the Plainfield North Invite. Nathan Arnold finished 17th overall, and bowled the program's first 300 game! Great job Nathan. The JV bowled in the Lake Park Invite.
Week of November 9th
The Boy's bowling team just finished a busy first week of the competition season. The Hornets took on Andrew on Monday. The varsity lost 2669-3046. James Most was the top bowler with a 3-game series of 630 which included a 244 game. The JV lost 2431-2579. Kevin Massa was the top bowler with a 523.
On Tuesday, the varsity lost to Minooka 2619-3235. James Most once again had the top series with a 562. Nathan Arnold had the high game with a 220. The JV lost 2449-2844. Ricky Klepacz paced the team with a 571. Kevin Hamilton had the high game with a 214.
The Hornets earned their first victory on Thursday against Fenton by a score of 2931-2827. Nathan Arnold had the high series with a 712. He also put his name on the record board with a game score of 279! The JV won 2499-2075. Kevin Massa had the high game (204) and high series (568).
On Saturday, the varsity finished 27th out of 30 teams at the Lake Park Invite. Nathan Arnold led the team with a 1146.
