Week of February 17th The Boy’s Swim and Dive Team competed in the Sectional Swim Meet. Outstanding swims with all personal best time drops were: Fred Finnegan, Antonio Bosiljanov and Alec Holton. Congratulations to our Medley Relay (Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Nick Marrella and Gustas Meiliulis) for making a state qualifying time. Parker Chan will also advance to the state meet in the 500 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Backstroke events. Good luck next week at the Illinois State Championship Meet!
Week of February 3rd The Boy’s Swim and Dive Team finished second on Friday evening in the Conference Meet. It was an exciting meet as the boys won 7 gold medals out of 12, they did a great job with time drops which included: Fred Finnegan, Andrew Petersen, Parker Chan, Antonio Bosiljanov, Gustas Meiliulis, Alec Holton and Nick Marrella. Congratulations to Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Nick Marrella and Gustas Meiliulis for breaking the Conference and Pool Records in both the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay. Parker Chan also broke his own record in the 500 Yard Relay. The team will train for two weeks for the Sectional Meet on Saturday 4/22/25 which will advance them to the State Championship Meet! Great Job Team, keep working hard!
Week of January 27th Congratulations to the Boy’s Swim and Dive Team for their win against Morton High School on Friday Evening. Stand out swimmers included: Fred Finnegan in the 50 Yard Freestyle, Alec Holton in the 200 Yard Freestyle, Antonio Bosiljanov in the 500 Yard Freesyle, Elias Varesis for his first place finish in the J.V. 100 Yard Freestyle and our Diver’s John and David Strahanoski. On Saturday, the Team placed 7th at an invitational hosted by L.T. High School. Medalists included: Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Nick Morrella and Gustas Meiliulis. Congratulations to Parker Chan for breaking a pool record in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Please join us on Friday Evening at Hinsdale South for the West Suburban Gold Conference Championship Meet with Diving beginning at 4:30 P.M.
Week of January 20th The Boy’s Swim and Dive Team defeated Proviso High School on Friday Evening. We bid good luck and acknowledged our seniors as it was our “Senior Night”. Many thanks to our seniors: Parker Chan, Fred Finnegan, Konrad Kremper and Andrew Petersen for their commitment to the program. On Friday (diving) and Saturday, we traveled to Lockport High School and placed 7th out of 15 at an invitational. Medalists on Saturday included: Andrew Petersen, Gustas Meiliulis, Nick Marrella and Parker Chan with two Gold medals in both the 500 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke events. This week we will travel to Berwyn for a meet against JSMorton High School on Thursday evening and another Invitational on Saturday at LT High School in Western Springs.
Week of January 13th The Boy’s Swim and Dive team traveled to Chicago on Wednesday evening with a win over University High School. Top places included: Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Gustas Meiliulis and Nick Marrella. Congratulations to our Divers John Strahanoski and David Strahanoski on their 1st and 2nd place finishes in the diving competition. On Friday, the team lost a close meet to Leyden High School. Top swimmers for the evening were: Fred Finnegan, Andrew Petersen, Gustas Meiliulis and Nick Marrella. Our next meet will be on Friday evening at Hinsdale South, as we face Proviso High School. Please join us as we recognize our four Seniors on our Senior Night.
Week of January 6th The Boy’s Swim and Dive team defeated Addison trail/Willowbrook High Schools on Friday evening. Congratulations to Fred Finnegan on earning “man of the meet” recognition by his peers and coaches. Fred swam a great meet and his hard work is paying off with many outstanding time drops. Elias Varesis captured a couple first place finishes on the JV level. On Saturday, the team placed 8th out of 11 at their own “college events” swim invitational. Medalists included: Andrew Petersen, Gustas Meiliulis, Nick Marrella and Parker Chan. On Wednesday, we will travel to University High School in Chicago and we will host Leyden on Friday Evening at 5:00. Everyone is welcome to attend and cheer the swimmers and divers on!
Week of December 23rd On Friday, the Boy’s Swim and Dive Team placed 5th at a Lincoln Way Central Invitational. Medalists included: Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Nick Marrella and Gustas Meiliulis. Best times include Fed Finnegan in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Our next meet will be on Thursday, January 9 at Hinsdale South against Addison Trail/Willowbrook and we will be hosting our “College Events” Invitational on Saturday, January 11!
Week of December 16th The Boy’s Swim and Dive Team is back in the water for another exciting season. The Team is being led by captains Parker Chan and Andrew Peterson. We are happy to have some new members join the team this season who include: Fred Finnegan, Rojas Morkevicius, Bartu Ural, Alec Holton, Gabe Abraham and Nick Marrella. Joining our Diver’s are: David Strahanoski and John Strahanoski.
The team lost to Downers Grove South on Thursday but still had some great swims. First place finishers included: Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Gustas Meiliulis and Nick Marrella. On Saturday, The team traveled to Bloomington High School placing sixth in a sixteen team invitational. Medalists included Nick Marrella in the 100 Yard Butterfly and Parker Chan in the 100 Yard Backstroke and 500 Yard Freestyle in which he broke the pool record with a time of 4:36.93. Congratulations to Parker Chan! Our next meet will be at Lincoln Way Central on Friday, 12-27-24, we hope to see you there.
