Week of February 21st The Boy's Swim Team had an outstanding finish to their season placing 23rd in the State Swim Meet on Saturday. Congratulations to Parker Chan for finishing 16th in the 500 Yard Freestyle and Will Gallagher placing 4th in the 50 Yard Freestyle followed up with a 5th place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Great job men for a fantastic season!
Week of February 14th The Boy's Swim Team completed their Sectional meet on Saturday. The boy's swam all personal best times. Special recognition to William Brewster, Andrew Chan, Jack Morrissey, Andrew Petersen and Jack Roh for an outstanding meet and strong finish for their season. Congratulations for advancing to the IHSA State Championship next Friday and Saturday to Parker Chan in the 500 Yard Freestyle and Will Gallagher in both the 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Breaststroke events! Good luck next weekend Gentlemen!
Week of January 31st The Boy's Swim and Dive Team finished in second place at the West Suburban Gold Conference Swim Meet on Friday Evening. The boys swam well bringing home 6 gold medals out of twelve events at the meet. Gold medal finishers included: William Brewster, Parker Chan, Will Gallagher and Jack Morrisey. Other top finishers included: Andrew Henn, Matas Novickis, Andrew Petersen and Jack Roh. On the J.V., Emiliano Wiberg had a great performance with a couple of first place finishes and personal best times. Nice meet. The Sectional team will move on for sectional competition in two weeks hosted by L.T. H.S.
Week of January 24th The Boy's Swim and Dive Team finished 6th last Saturday at an Invitational hosted by L.T. High School. Top medalists included Will Gallagher in the 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Breastroke events. Parker Chan in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Congratulations to Angel Milososki for an outstanding performance in the 100 Yard Freestyle on a 3 second drop in his time! On Friday, February 4th, the team will compete in the West Suburban Conference Gold Swim Meet hosted at Downers Grove High School. We hope to see everyone there to cheer on the Hornes. Good Luck Men!
Week of January 17th On Friday evening, the Boy's Swim Team was defeated by Downers Grove South. Despite the loss, the boy's were up for the tough competition and swam fast. Top performances included: Will Brewster, Parker Chan, Will Gallagher, Andrew Henn, Jack Morrissey, Andrew Petersen and Jack Roh. After a long meet, the team was on the bus Saturday morning at 6:30 A.M. for a 9:00 Swimming Invitational hosted by Lockport High School. Although tired, first place medalists included Will Gallagher in both the 200 I.M. and 100 Yard Breaststroke. Parker Chan swam a tough race bringing home a gold medal in the 500 Yard Freestyle Event. The team will have another Invitational at L.T. High School in Western Springs on Saturday 1-29-2022. Good luck men!
Week of January 10th The Boy's Swim and Dive Team defeated Morton High School on Friday evening. Andrew Petersen was our "Man of the Meet" because of his outstanding performances in both the 200 I.M. and 500 Freestyle events. The Hornets captured 1st place in all of the events with Lukas Simkus swimming a very respectable 100 Yard Backstroke. Please join us on Friday evening as the Hornets will host the Downers Grove South Mustangs, as we recognize our Senior swimmers on their last dual meet of their High School careers.
Week of January 3rd The Boy's Swim and Dive Team defeated Proviso West on Friday Evening. Top individual performances included: Andrew Henn, Aamir Merchant, Matas Novickis, Andrew Petersen, Jack Roh, Ibrahim Jared and Angel Milososki.
The Hornets hosted a "College Events Invitational" consisting of eleven teams on Saturday. Top Medalists were Will Gallagher in the 50 and 100 Yard Freestyles and Parker Chan in the 400 Yard I.M. and the 500 Yard Freestyle. Other outstanding medalists included the 400 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle relay made up of Will Gallagher, Parker Chan, Lukas Simkus and Jack Morrissey. Our next meet will be on Friday evening (1-14-2022) at Morton West High School as the Hornets take on the Mustangs.
Week of December 27th The Boy's Swim Team captured a second place finish over break at a Lincoln Way Central Invitational, missing a first place championship by only six points! The boy's swam extremely well bringing home numerous medals that included: Will Brewster, Parker Chan, Will Gallagher, Andrew Petersen, Jack Roh and Lukas Simkus. Another congratulations goes out to Will Gallagher for breaking the Lincoln Way Central pool record. Please join us on Friday evening at Proviso West for a dual swim meet and Hinsdale Central on Saturday as we host our own Invitational consisting of college events.
Week of December 13th The Boy's Swimming and Dive Team defeated Leyden High School on both Varsity and JV levels on Friday evening. The Hornet's placed first in every event at the meet.
On Saturday, the Varsity Team took a road trip to Bloomington Illinois, to bring home a first place trophy in an eighteen team swimming invitational. First place medalists included: Parker Chan, Will Gallagher, Jack Morrissey and Lukas Simkus. Other team members that medaled and gave us team points included: Will Brewster, Andrew Henn, Patrick Jarosz, Andrew Petersen and Jack Roh. Amazing job men, it's been over 18 years since we last won that meet! Another congratulations goes out to Will Gallagher for breaking the pool record at Bloomington High School in the 100 Yard Breastroke. Our next swim meet will be an Invitational at Lincolnway Central on Tuesday 12-28-2021.
Week of December 6th Congratulations to the Boy's Swim and Dive Team on their victory Friday evening against Addison Trail/Willowbrook High Schools. Special recognition goes out to Will Gallagher on a new pool record in the 100 Yard Freestyle and Patrick Jarosz chosen "Man of the Meet" for an outstanding swim in the 50 Yard Freestyle with only three weeks into the season! First place swimmers included: Parker Chan, Will Gallagher, Jack Morrissey and Lukas Simkus. Please join us this Friday (12-17-2021) at Leyden East High school as we take on the Eagles at 5:00 P.M. On Saturday, the Hornets will travel to Bloomington Illinois to compete in an Invitational. Good Luck Hornets
Week of November 29th Welcome Back to the Boy's Swimming and Dive Teams! We opened our season up on Friday evening at Deerfield High School with a relay Invitational. The Team swam well for their first meet with an outstanding performance in the 400 Medley Relay composed of: Parker Chan, Will Gallagher, Lukas Simkus and Jack Morissey. We are happy to welcome our incoming Freshman to the team that includes: Parker Chan, Andrew Petersen, Jason Krucek and Angel Milososki. We are looking forward to a successful, fun season this year including many individual and team best times!
