Monday, April 15th - Hinsdale South 9 Addison Trail 2 Lauren Bishop was dominant in the circle, as she rang up 11 strikeouts in the 9-2 victory over Addison Trail. Bishop gave up eight hits and two runs over seven innings while walking none. Hornets got on the board in the second inning after Alex Kuhlman homered to center field, scoring three runs. Hornets achieved 15 hits in the game, with multiple players getting 3 hits a piece.
Wednesday, April 17th - Hinsdale South 10 Proviso East 0 Hornets won big over Proviso East 10-0 on Wednesday. Hinsdale South got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Mulgrew double, Scheirer walked, each scoring a run. Ava Scheirer started in the circle for the Hornets, allowing six hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Hanna Crumpler pitched one inning of scoreless ball to solidify the win for the Hornets.
Thursday, April 18th - St. Laurence 7 Hinsdale South 2 Hinsdale South could not keep up with St. Laurence Viking on Thursday, losing 7-2 in the non conference matchup. Bishop started in the circle, surrendering four hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking one. The Hornets collected 10 hits in the game, with Noelle Waterman leading 3 hits in 4 plate appearances. Isabella Yanez went 2 for 4 at the plate as the leadoff.
Friday, April 19th - Hinsdale South 14 Morton 1 The Hornets were dominant against Morton on Friday with Lauren Bishop in the circle, she rang up 14 strikeouts in the 14-1 victory. Bishop surrendered only three hits and one run over seven innings, while walking one. Hinsdale South jumped out to an early lead in the fourth inning after Lilly Davy tripled, scoring three runs. Hornets scored on five hits in the top of the 7th.

Monday, April 8th - Nazareth 11 Hinsdale South 1 Naz Academy Roadrunners came out hot against the Hornets on this sunny Monday afternoon. Roadrunners topped the Hornets 11-1 after scoring 7 in the second inning. Hornets were able to scratch one across in the 5th, with Isabella Yanez receiving the RBI. Ava Scheirer got the start in the circle, and Lauren Bishop closed out the game.
Tuesday, April 9th - Glenbard West 2 Hinsdale South 0 Bishop started in the circle for the Hornets and gave up eight hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking two. The Hornets out hit the Hilltoppers 9-8 but still could not push runs across in the duel. Kiefer and Waterman collected two hits each for the Hornets.
Friday, April 12th - St. Ignatius 20 Hinsdale South 15 Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Hinsdale South fell to the Wolfpack 20-15 on Friday. Wolfpack collected 24 hits while Hornets had 19. Buckels-Meen collected four hits in five at bats in the loss. Bishop started in the circle for the Hornet, allowing eight hits and seven runs over two innings.
Week of April 1st
Saturday, April 6th - IC Catholip Prep 10 Hinsdale South 9 Hinsdale South Hornets dropped a loss to the IC Knights in the bottom of the 7th on Saturday. Combining for 12 hits on the day, the Hornets could not force the win. Bishop completed the full game in the circle, totalling 15 hits and 10 runs over the seven innings. In the sixth, the Hornets scored seven runs on 10 hits to take the lead, 9-8. Yanez homered in the third tying the game.
Week of March 18th
Thursday, March 21st - Hinsdale South 12 Ridgewood 0 Isabella Yanez drove in four runs on three hits to lead Hinsdale South Varsity Hornets past Ridgewood Rebels 12-0 on Thursday at Ridgewood. Yanez doubled in the first inning, scoring two runs and singled in the fourth inning, scoring two. Hinsdale South scored eight runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Noelle Waterman singled, scoring one run, Annika Nicol singled, scoring one run, Kayla Buckels-Meen doubled, Ava Scheirer singled, Yanez, and Kuhlman also singled. Lauren Bishop started in the circle for the Hornets, she allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking none. Total hits for the Hornets tallied 14 for the game. There were no errors committed in the field.
Week of March 11th
Tuesday, March 12th - Hinsdale South 10 Reavis 8 The hornets started off strong by defeating Reavis High school 10-8 on their first outing. First at bat for the Hornets, Isabella Yanez hit a solo shot to get on the board. Lauren Bishop started in the circle, striking out 4 and allowing six hits, with three runs over four innings. Annika Nicol led the team with three hits in four at bats.
Wednesday, March 13th - Lemont 8 Hinsdale South 3 Hinsdale South got on the board early against reigning State Champions, Lemont High School, but it was not enough to hold the win. Hornets fell 8-3 in the game, but held strong against great competition.
Friday, March 15th - Hinsdale South 13 Oak Lawn 3 The Friday outing against Oak Lawn was a hit parade for the Hornets. Hornets beat Oak Lawn 13-3 in 6 innings on a windy day. Bishop collected three hits out of four at bats, while striking out 10 in the circle. Hinsdale South scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Doubles by Alex Kuhlman, Lauren Bishop, Annika Nicol, and many hits by others led to the win.
Saturday, March 16th - Richards 7 Hinsdale South 1 Hornets fell 7-1 in the competition against Richards Bulldogs. It was a windy outing for the Hornets, who struggled to score runners despite getting them on base. The Hornets left 8 on base, despite having 10 hits in the game. Richards piled up 15 hits in the game, even though Lauren Bishop struck out 5 on the day.
